Luntian Awards Nominations Now Open

Nominations are now open for green weblogs, videos, advocates, inventors, innovators, entrepreneurs, small and big businesses throughout our 2-week long Earth Day 2009 celebration.

We wish to recognize like-minded people, businesses and their work, as they make innovative and committed contributions to a cleaner and greener society in the areas of pollution reduction, recycling, reforestation, wildlife protection, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, environmental awareness and others.

Criteria for judging are:

• innovativeness
• usability
• impact

Winners are scheduled to be announced on May 6... when we launch the first issue of our green publication Luntian Magazine.

Luntian Magazine Saves Trees, Wonderful

I just realized after doing the math that if we were to print 6000 copies of Luntian Magazine for each of its quarterly issue composed of approximately 10 paper sheets of 8.5” x 11”, which is about 750 lbs of paper, we would have consumed 15 trees in a year!

I'm so happy that I'd be saving at least 15 trees a year. It's not that much, but it's a start.

Luntian Magazine Opens Registration after Earth Hour 2009

The sign-ups were overwhelming. Thank you.

We only announced the activity to you -- our close network of friends and colleagues -- and have not contacted the press yet, but the results were more than expected.

Registrations last night after Earth Hour March 28, 9:30 PM, reached more than 2000! Sign-ups are still increasing.

Luntian Magazine Philippines is an Electronic Quarterly Publication on Green Innovations, Developments, and Resources for your Industry, Business, Workplace, Home and Lifestyle.

We will start accepting registrations on March 28 at 9:30 PM after Earth Hour.

Registration will always be open henceforth and that members will be able to download the first issue of Luntian Magazine in PDF on May 6 concluding our 2-week long Earth Day (April 22) celebration.

Lots of Luntian Magazine Events are lined up beginning April 22 so hang in there as I keep you posted.
